No matter how big the fire or flood is, the whole process can be traumatising. When it comes to restoring your property, it’s vital that you understand what to expect in the restoration process.
Ideally you would restore a property and its contents to as close to pre-incident condition as possible, leaving a clean and safe environment. If fire damage cleaning isn’t done correctly, not only can the odour linger, but further damage can happen to both your contents and building. Insufficient cleaning of smoke and soot can also continue to put your health at risk once you move back into the property.
It is widely expected by Insurers that you will attempt to restore the items that are damaged as quickly as possible. However some items simply cannot be restored are they are economically unviable, which we deem as BER (beyond economical restoration). On top of this they all have to listed, photographed and inventoried with a report on their condition for validation by your insurer.
As part of our overall contents service, we offer a contents listing and inventory verification package that will produce a professional itemised report for your Insurance claim. All contents are listed and professionally evaluated as to whether they can be restored or not. All you have to do is price the list and you have your contents claim for submission.
Of course we also offer on-site or offsite restoration of soft contents. We will attempt to clean as much as possible and full report will be provided to gain approval to proceed with the clean.
Any items that do not restore will be added to the BER (beyond economical repair) list.
